Keith Magee - Dublin
My lovely and crazy host Dublin
Pubs and Pubs, a bar and pubs .... and a gay bar... So I left you all last with the taste of stale hot dog in your mouths and my being in New York before making my first international stop in Dublin Ireland .... Ahhh, yes, Dublin. I shall look back on it fondly as a city I that won1t go back to unless I want to die broke and hungover in a gutter, or St. Stephens park (I spent a lot of time trying to sleep there, who knew the Irish guards were so picky about having to sit upright on the bench!) ... OR if Daddy is paying, no really, I have already made plans for us to all go next year! Laura, James ... I know you are on board with this one!
But really, Dublin was fabulous. I stayed with Keith Magee and his three brothers.... Aiden, Colin and Shawn Magee. I just missed a visit to Mrs. and Mr. Magee in Meade on the farm in the country, oh damn... what an adventure that would have been eh! Fabulous hosts really, Keith is one of the gang and an excellent first host....
actually at the moment I will keep this quick. To be honest, I already wrote a fucking hilarious piece on Dublin and it got erased as the computer crashed, yes Im that funny, and I dont really feel like writing much more. I mean, how much can I really write about going to pubs ever night and pinapples and drunk Irish guys mouthing off on the bus and singing. Anyways, you gus loose your patience with long entries .... I know, ive had to read them before, do you really ever do anything but look at the photos? No. So I will bust my butt on this slow computer to put as many on for you, it is actually asking a lot .... you all owe me a pint, and Uncle Chris that means a bottle of Highland Park from you!
Oh I almost forgot!! I got hit on at the gay bar. After all this time living in the Gay centers of America, Castro and Cruz, I have never actually gotten hit on, but I really did! Anyways ... just to explain the subtitle a little ....
Budapest
Cheap cheap beeeeeer, no no red red wiiiiiiiiiiiinnne Cafe Irie - Dublin
They actually had Blue Mountain Coffee up on the shelf! But not really a jamaican ting in site other than that. So, as I hopped on the plane from one extremley overpopulated holiday to the most unpopulated holiday I felt myself cheated .... or not. Well, normally a city full of drunk people and passing out on the floor with other drunk people, all dressed in green acting like idiots, would be a great weekend break for me, not unlike my weekend visits back down toold Uni mates in Santa Cruz might I add. However, when one is on the road they begin to value other things... like slugging around all weekend in your own flat with plenty of cheap beer and movies, oh wait, I already LOVE doing that!! I know it might be seen as anti-social, or maybe you might say I should try to get more out of this trip, but for fucks sake Ive only just begun, I have another 9.5 months to talk to strangers and get to know places. Besides which, when I arrived in Budapest I found myeself in quite the fortunate position. My very cool frisbee throwing host and his girlfriend were both leaving the city for the weekend, my other host had fallen off the face of the earth leaving me with
no where to sleep and well, I got given a set of keys to a very sweet, chill, spacious, funky, relaxing, did I say spacious?, apartment in Buda half a block from a tram that is but 2 stops from everywhere else. Lucky me? Id say! (mind you all, I've just been watching football factory and have had a couple of those cheap beers Ive been banging on about .... so I am saying all of this in my head with a funny english accent, there sounds better now doesnt it?!)
As it goes, Ive spent the last few days getting to now Budapest by not talking to anyone, (which mean pretending I dont speak English as everyone here does... leaves people a bit confused, funny to watch as I am shit with accents and I am shit at pretending that I dont speak at all!) and by drinking Hundry's finest cheap, cheap and might I add cheap beer. Now don't get me completely wrong. I have seen AAALLLL the sights, well except for the one at the top of the hill, it was very big and Id just walked
down from the castle and saw no point in
walking
up again to have to walk right back
down again ... and besides I had passed this Gyros place on the way and was peckish, and I wanted to get back to 'my' apartment and watch movies and drink cheap beer. So well, in short, thats the one sight I didn't see. Not a bother at any rate .... I did start this out by saying that my hosts had left for the weekend because of the holiday didn't I. Yes well, March 15th, celebrating the revolution of 1848. The entire city had worked on the proceeding saturday just so they could have the friday after off as well (good politics I say.) There were supposed to be riots and chaos, but there was none, although still, on saturday, there were lots of Hungarian police all over the place, guarding Parliament from my touristness, the bastards. And, as well as no riots there were no people, no open shops, no nothing really, just pretty building and trees, which I liked very much .... hense the only photos you are getting are of, well, pretty buildings and trees.
A Day in the Bath .... the Hungarian baths ..... no, no .... A Day with Fat Bellies on Top of Speedos!!! And the Wonderous Revelations that Accompany it .... yeah ....

Bodies
Yo Girlfriend, Love the observations of bodies. With all my travelling it always amuses me what each ethnic group/country deems as sexy. Lot of gerneralisations out there but CA actually warps body values. Bloody hard to be perfect and then at my stage/age with everything fitting into Newtons law of gravity and heading south folks wanting to spend all that money realigning parts!!! Again a western value more predominant in some geographies than others. Speaking of heading south Chelsea and I are talking/planning adventures for 'down under'. Love ya, Pamela xxxxxxxxxxxxx
