Happy Birthday dear Bridge...

Today the weather has been overcast. Rubbish!
It is Sydney harbour bridge's 75th birthday though so I took a stroll to see where all the birthday celebrations were taking place! I climbed up "the pylon" to get views of the bridge...it looked pretty cool and all the people walking across it were wearing lime green baseball caps- niiiice!

I joined them later...I have one too! Niiiiice!

I also went to Sydney aquarium to spy some platypus and little penguins (the only two native animals i have failed to see in australia before today!) so that was pretty cool!

Also went up "sydney tower" to get an all round view of the city. To be honest, its just a city! Overrated.
However, they had this cool attraction at the tower called "oztrek". You sit in a chair that moves and watch a movie about different places in australia...and the chair moves to go with it. Kind of like a simulator. That was excellent!

I then bought a raincoat, just because. It was a silly thing to buy but I like it!

I hope the weather is better tomorrow so i can get out of the city and see some of the so called beautiful beaches!

For some reason Sydney really isn't doing much for me! I was really looking forward to getting away from the small backwards australian cities and be up to date again and full of life...that was fulfilled in brisbane but sydney for me lacks atmosphere! It's just too big...and maybe a bit normal? I dunno. Maybe its the weather?
Just something isn't right!
Im not feeling the sydney love! Damn!
I've been told though if you dont like sydney, melbourne is the place for you and vice versa. Watch this space!

Hey - yup - have to agree - am in sydney at the mo - and its nowhere near as great as Melbourne - which i loved - got a really relaxed feel.. so under-whelmed with Sydney that i thought i'd search travelblogs for some inspiration.. Lucy.
