Virgin Airline Hostess serving us Drinks with a Bob Marley hat on!!
Well, where do we start.??. After a later night than anticipated we met at 5.40 am at The hotel reception, well all of us except two, who of course will remain unnamed!!!….feel free to guess who the two culprits were!!

We jumped on a bus which was provided by the hotel at a wonderful price of £3 and that drove us to Gatwick airport South terminal. We were greeted by cheery faces from Virgin Atlantic who guided us to our check in desk. We proceeded to pick up our boarding passes and then moved away to head to Yates’ bar and food grill. As we were heading there the two stragglers appeared after hailing a taxi that cost them near £15 from the hotel. If only had they made the bus how much cheaper would that have been….any guesses who they were??

We ordered Breakfast, bacon butties ect at Yates’ and of course some also ordered beer..... 6.30am and some are drinking beer…amazing!! One comment I will say is £6.99 for a breakfast was not value for money and we would give it 5/10.

For some reason we lost track of time and before we new it it
What is he doing??What is he doing??What is he doing??

was 8.15am and the screen said ”Gate Closing” ..... well for those who can remember Ben Johnston, we shot off like him in his Olympic Final to Gate 33 where it said was 20 mins away from where we were. Mr Drylie sprinted to let them know we were on our way, alas we did not need to worry as once we had arrived there were still some passengers boarding.

We got ourselves to Row 58 and settled ourselves down for the 8 hour 15 minutes journey to Antigua with Ipods, newspapers and magazines at the ready!! The flight itself was fairly normal with a bit of bouncy bouncy on the way but nothing different from the norm!

The Food was average and the concencus from the lads was 4/10 so not really pass marks for the fare that was served up!

The flight was full apart from a couple of odd single seats on Virgin Atlantic V33 from London Gatwick to Antigua International. The main problem we had on the flight was after about 6 hours the Air Stewardess told us that there was no more drink left on the plane!!! No beer, wine spirits etc.

As ever, always smiling!
Well as you can imagine this did not go down very well with The Linlithgow Loyal .We even asked if we could buy a bottle of spirits from Duty Free but we were told it was Illegal to open this in flight!! We had to accept that they hadn’t catered for the amount of Scottish people on their flight!! A lot of people were disappointed but what could we do.??

We landed in Antigua at 1.30 pm on schedule and were greeted by 28 degrees, bright sunshine and a Caribbean band playing some reggae music!! The two latecomers (Any idea who they could be yet ??) had managed to get their luggage checked straight to St Kitts so they headed off to Internal transfers while the rest stood in a very long 450 person queue !! We didn’t really mind as we had a near 5 hour wait and we were given some free Caribbean Rum as we waited in the queue and listened to the Reggae Band..

As you may expect after the rest of the guys had checked in we met the “late starters” in the departure lounge and preceded to get a taste of the
