think it was Russell Falls?!
Just returned from a week in Tasmania - i flew there and had a look around Hobart before starting an organised tour with Adventure Tours the following day.

The group was pretty mixed and mostly europeans - i was surprised i was the only british person. It was made up of Danish, Swiss, German (of course), Dutch, Irish and Japanese with our Tassie tour guide Gaz (aka Wombat)

We hiked to the top of Mount Farrell and took a swim in the lake at the top - it was pretty steep so the swim was lovely, if not a little chilly! Unfortunately i sprained my ankle so was unable to climb to the top of Cradle Mountain the following day. The Cradle Mountain national park was beautiful and i limped round the Lake with a few others who didn't want to do the hard climb to the top.

At Devonport we had meals and drinks in an Irish bar. Orla and Aska managed to party through the whole night and didn't bother going to bed before continuing on the next day of the tour - that's drinking stamina!!

Launceston, just passing through this small town so didn't

see much. Queenstown is a very strange place, It used to be a mining town and now no jobs available due to the use of machinery. It has one shop which sells the strangest mix of stuff - everything you would never need, including gollywogs - remember them? I thought they had all been removed from the market because they were seen as being racist?!

We went to the Bay of Fires which was voted 2nd best beach in the world (behind st barts) - unfortunately you can't see it well in my pictures as it was starting to rain!

Bicheno blowhole was pretty funny and it nearly soaked a good few of our group. Some people went to see the Penguins at the beach but i had already seen them on the Great Ocean Road.

Frecyinet National Park was probably my favourite place in Tas, Wineglass Bay is stunning - just like the picture postcards, although it wa a fair hike to the lookout point and back over the mountain again after chiulling out on the beach.

Remarkable cave was completely unremarkable and not worth any more of this page!!

was back to Hobart for a group night out - went for a nice meal and drinks in Salamanca and when all the decent places closed we ended up in a dodgy pub called the "welcome stranger". We were hanging out with our tour leader and his friends and once that pub shut we went back to a friend's luxury yacht and continued the party in style! It was absolutely gorgeous and we were up til 6.30am before crashing out. My flight to Adelaide the next day was particularly rough!
