I used to work in the Whitsundays on Daydream Island so I know the area well, beautiful place! I'm thinking of passing back through there in September 2007 (your blog came up when I did a 'google' search for employment there) Can you please tell me if September - December is the busy season? I've forgotten ... it would be great to get some tips from you on seeking work again, as it was back in 1997 (I was 19 then) when I was there working on Daydream as a waitress. My partner will be in the area working on a private yacht, so my goal is to also work for a few months then we will meet up and explore a little more of Aussie before returning to NZ. I hope you can help, but if not I understand (I'm not even sure if you are still there!) I'm not a weirdo stalker - I promise! Just wanting a few tips from a 'Whitsunday's local'. Take care, Jess. |
