adorable!
Hi! I finally have something interesting to report!

Lets start from the very beginning (a very good place to start.)

Friday Night

In the usual Friday manner, most of us went down to the pub for some drinks- someone got the bright idea to bring our drinks down to the beach. It sounded awesome, so we made our way down to the beach to hang out and wade in the ocean. It was great- the water was warm, we were having a good time until: someone poured their drink on my cell phone!!! I was doing such a good job of keeping it dry, but then- boom some voday cooler breaks my mobile- boo!!! not to mention the sand in my entire body (somehow, even though I never sat down, I got sand in my shorts)

It was a really nice night, but my friends locked their keys in their apartment, so of course- we had to try and help them break in. It was successful (a very convenient open washroom window) and it was quite impressive considering it was on the second floor. Great time- great memories!

Saturday- got up early and took the train

even cooler in person :)
to Sydney. (Erin, Amy and I) We checked into BASE hostel which is a really great hostel- really cheap, clean and close to everything. Our first stop was Darling Harbour which is very nice and also home to the Sydney Aquarium! So, we went in and loved every minute of it! The first thing we saw was the duck billed platypus- and they are hystrical- chubbier and more wiggly than I thought!

Other highlights include the seals and the sharks (you can walk in a tunnel underneath them!) There was also a touch tank, so I got to touch a sea cucumber! (Felt like soggy jello)

So, after the aquarium we went to Sydney Harbour to check out the bridge and the opera house- both amazing. They are doing Macbeth at the Opera house for pretty cheap, so we might try and go see it. The whole harbour is spectacular, its such a great city!

From the harbour we walked up, along side the ENORMOUS botanical gardens to Hyde Park where the parade was starting. WE met up with our other Canadian and Aussie friends and just had a great time. In australia drinking outside isn't such

I don't know if you can see, but they are wearing pink Australia flags!
a big deal, so everyone was partying in full force. The parade was great (even though it was difficult to see) and I ended up at a house party near Oxford St for a bit. Overall a great night!

Sunday- we checked out of our hostel and walked down towards "The Rocks" kind of like a cross between the Forks in Winnipeg and the Distillery in Toronto...its the original settlement of Sydney that is now home to super fancy stores, restaurants and boutiques. I had scrambled eggs and toast and it was $11! Holy crap, it wasn't even that good. Anyhow, we walked around and it was super nice, they have a market every weekend and it had tons of cool stuff and unique souvenirs 😊

So after that we came home!!! There is a bar downtown called "The Harp" which serves free pizza on Sunday's, so we went there for dinner- it was awesome! And now I'm home, in my room and avoiding the 4 assignments I have due this week although I'm about a quarter done.

Alright! Hope you are all well! Give me a shout if you want! These are only a few of
