Edit Blog Post

Got a sleep in as I wasnt going caving in the morning.

While we waited for the cavers to finish off we went to go and see some giant bunnys get sheared. Interesting. They were rather large REALLY fluffy (like soft toys.)

The cavers finished and while they had there free hot tomato soap I grabbed a BLT.

The weather was the worst since arriving in New Zealand - continuos drizzle. This made a lot of people worried as many were due to go sky diving (not too sure where all these crazy kids get their money from) this afternoon and cancelation was looking quite likely.

After a couple of hours we reached the outskirts of the Huka falls. Impressive in that it was simply such a powerful mass of water being chaneled off a small drop.

Once reaching Taupo the sky cleared up and those who had skydiving booked went off to do their thing.

Myself Damien (oyrish), Brad (Ozzy) and Henrick (Danish) went for a wonder in town and I manged to find myself a cheap polo t-shirt (As the one I had bought in Chile had gone missing - pinched probably). I went and spent a couple of hours on the internet to try and catch up with this darn Travel Blog.

Dinner was another Barbecue, steck and sausage with lots of salads (pasta, green potato).

We then all headed out to the local Irish bar for some drinks and drinking games. Wasnt ment to be drinking too much as I was due to be getting up at 6:00 the next day to do the Tonga crossing (18km).

Got carriered away and went to a club/bar afterwards with Henrick, Sue and Brad. Played drunken pool and the worst pool table in the planet. Being sunday the joint was quite empty. Got home at 3:00.

Bunny
Did the bunny really need to be sheared? Your trip seems to a catalogue of abuse to small domestic pets. - Eating Guinea Pigs, subjecting Rabbits to medieval rack torture. What's going to be next? A drinking game that involves trying to beat a hamster to death with a stick? Seeing how far a chipmonk can run after it's had it's tail set on fire?.......
