The Pyramids
the pyramid of the moon and sun in the distance Day 2, its 40 degrees outside and as most normal people wud tend to head to the shade for a nice cold beer what do jen and dave do? we start trekking up the pyramid of the sun, the third largest pyramid in the world in desert like conditions in mexico! these pyramids form part of the mayan ruins dating frm 1 ad and is the biggest mayan city left in mexico. pyramids were class but thot i was actually gona die at one stage, i ws so hot, burnt and nackered and david was totally cool and fit and jst kept wanting to hike up the next stage....gggrrrr! the pyramids were cool, there were lots of tombs and mass graves which had been excavated and then there were the two biggest pyramids...the pyramid of the sun and the moon with hundreds of steps at the side for u to climb up!
the buses to and frm the ruins were interesting as well...on a second class bus which was jst about to fall apart and these randoms kept hopping on and off playing music and trying to sing looking for money! cudnt stop laughing at them! then u get to
see the real mexico city...frm the nice clean modern city to complete shanty towns and hundreds of miles of grey concrete blocks as far as the eye can see...bit like the mexico city u see in the movies with dust tracks for hundreds of mile and cacti.
when we eventually got back to the hotel...i was so tired i jst had to go straight to bed and try and sleep along to the constant shouts and banging of drums of political protesters.

jen should have done some rugby practice and she might be able to manage the climbs. Glad you are getting around and chilling or ouch = burning.
