We were up at 6.30am and had just enough time to catch a quick breakfast before getting on the bus. We arrived in Nha Trang at lunch time, where we had a 5 hour stop over before our night bus to Hoi An. We had a quick look around the city and checked out the beach, before spending some time in an internet cafe and grabbing a pizza.

The bus journey was pretty awful as the bus stopped every hour making it impossible to sleep as they kept turning the lights on. We were eventually dropped at a hotel, very early in the morning. We checked into the hotel a little worse for wear and headed to bed for a few hours.

After our snooze, we felt a bit more refreshed so headed out to see the town. Hoi An Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and many of the buildings have been preserved as they were in the 17th century. We walked in to the town over the Japanese Covered Bridge, which is the only one of its kind with a Buddhist Pagoda attached to it (Now for ye).

We then spent some time wandering the old town which has a few small museums as well as numerous tailors and art and craft shops. There are also a number of temples and Socialist Assembly Houses to visit. We then had lunch in a cafe and spent some time looking around the markets.

That evening we organised a bus to Hue.

Next Stop Hue...

HOTELS
You seem to really be going upmarket in hotels! Pity you could not stay in the crazy house. And the dutch importing flowers! Wonder do they eventually end up in Dublin as Dutch flowers. Ann
