We spent a couple nights in Kep which is on the coast about 25km from Kampot. Kep was the seaside resort town for Cambodia before the civil wars left most of its fancy seaside mansions destroyed. Now its a very quiet place to relax and watch the sunset. For the first night though Ethan and I took a boat to Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island) and roughed it a bit on this undeveloped paradise. We had our own little bamboo bungalow and basically lounged around eating fresh crab and fish, playing chess and cards, swimming. Also did a little beachcombing and Ethan found a nice piece of Amber. Later the next day we joined the other half of the family back in Kep at the Veranda guesthouse where we had a fancy bungalow with air con and hot water all raised up off the ground and linked to the other bungalows and resturant by wooden walkways 3 meters off the ground. (Pictures are on the other camera, including Jasmine doing math!) Nice place to relax with great views of the sea and lovely sunsets. Had a large lizard visit us to hunt bugs at the light in the bathroom. Thanks for all the comments to the blog.

Survivor
Just watched Survivor and imagined Evan and Ethan surviving on their island. We envy all the adventures you are having and wish we could be doing the same thing.....maybe in our next lifetime. Also thinking of Jasmine and her upcoming birthday. What great memories. Take care. Our love to you all. Nan and Papa
