New York is huge.

We didn’t even get off Manhattan Island in the 7 days we were there and we were busy busy busy. Az you were right, this city is awesome.
We stayed in the luxurious Manhattan Club, situated next to Carnegie hall and a few streets down from Times Square. The room had 2 bedrooms and 2 marble bathrooms (amazing). This Worldmark and RCI stuff is really impressive. Better than any hotel I have visited.

We had Alissa’s Bday over looking Times square and we all had a few cocktails, although I think Mai thought it was her Bday as she had a slight hangover the next day.

THINGS WE DID IN POINT FORM AS THERE IS JUST TOO MUCH TO EXPLAIN.

• Empire State Building (A Must)

• “Statue of Liberty” (A Must)

• Downtown Tour (Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenwich etc) (Exploring is a MUST)

• Phantom of the Opera on Broadway (I’m glad I saw a famous production on Broadway but Phantom is not really my cup of tea)

• “Awesome” Uptown tour - The tour guide was so on the ball. He stumbled as he spoke to us, he slurred his speech and spoke about how good his house was and his son was ok, and then he proceeded to sleep (Pass out). Eventually right at the end of the tour he woke, sat up straight and said, and I quote “On the right we have the Guggenheim” We left the fab tour at this point for a wander through Central Park - The upper end of the island is no where near as interesting as the lower half.

• Wall st and trump towers (wow Wall st is small, but I was prepared for this on Anthony and Vanessa’s comments. I asked Donald Trump if he would reconsider calling it Benson towers but I don’t think he wanted to sell.

• Rode the subway (amazing friendly people, Daz and I were looking at maps etc and three people around us were all trying to give us a hand on where to go). I had a feeling New York was going to be a unfriendly place but I’m glad to say I was very impressed with the local New Yorkers willingness to help and be friendly.

• Ground Zero and 9/11 Museum (I had to visit this site, it’s something I feel that must be kept out in the open and not swept under the carpet, much like other “dreadful event areas”, such as Paddy’s nightclub in Bali, the killing fields in Cambodia, Auschwitz in Poland etc.) I feel if we bury our heads in the sand for these events in history, then the chance of it repeating is much more probable.

• Nicks at Madison square Garden (One word ---- BLOODY FANTASTIC.. oops that was two. But it was so good to see a live basket ball game at Madison Square Garden)

• Ice Skating in Central Park

Lots and Lots of shopping and walking, cruises round Manhattan Island.. It was never ending, well until we flew to England.

This is one town I will defiantly return to and could easily live in for 6 months or so, u never know.

Anyways, Till the London Blog.

Luv to all.

Rohan
