Hey Everyone! Tom finished this last blog and I was gone or sleeping or had Spanish classes at a different time...or soemthing... so I'm goign to add a blog of what I did the past week too. Here's the run down:

Monday through Wednesday: I had my Spanish classes, which are going great, I can almost always understand the basic idea of what people say and always am able to respond. Not much else happened these few days.

Thursday: I played soccer for about three hours, and once again I was the only girl. I scored two goals (of course), and by the end of the game the guys were yelling Elena es muy peligroso (Elena is very dangerous), and Matele (kill her), but I completely kicked their ass, except that when I got home I had two of the biggest blisters ripped open on the bottom of my feet, not very comfortable.

Friday: I had my exam, and did alright, it was a bit difficult, this week my class covered the three different conjugations for the past tense: preterito simple, preterito perfecto, preterito imperfecto, and preterito pluscuamperfecto, and how to differentiate when to use them. It gets a bit complicated. I went and bought my tourist ticket for the trip on Friday and visited the musuem where teh tickets are sold. This one guy ended up giving me a tour of the place in Spanish, rapid Spanish, to be exact, but I was able to understand more or less what he said. He showed me some crazy mummies that are buried in the fetal position as a sign of rebirth.

Saturday: I went on the most intense hike since Trinidad and Tobago. It really brought back memories considering the blisters on my feet (haha Bryan). I can't really describe how intense it was you will just have to see the pictures.

Sunday: I went to Chinchero, a market an hour and a half outisde of Cusco, and we visited a local church there. The mountains were absolutely gorgeous. after the market Vivi, our swedish roommat, and i had a crazy water balloon fight in the streets of Cusco. we both ended up with buckets of water dumped on us by locals.

Thats about everything so far. I tried to update some pictures, but only succeeded with a few pictures of Moray, the agricultural fields of the Incas that I visited a few weeks ago. I also realized that I spelled Moray at least five different ways (Moras, Mura,...) I meant Moray. I promise to update the rest of my pictures soon.

amazing
dear Elena: unbelievably we had dinner with a friend of Sally's who had been just where you are and another teacher who has spent her life teaching, in Germany, English as a second language. We think and speak of you all of the time! Much love, BA
