Today is Wednesday and in a few hours Sarah and I will be on our way to Cardiff to stay with an old friend of hers. We're there until Friday. I've skipped a Monday and Tuesday in my blog entries so here is a brief synopsis of events:

Monday was my birthday, yay! I wandered the Tate Modern, saw a movie, drank good red wine with Sarah, David and his roommates and even received presents from the boys! I also had a couple of good long conversations with Mum and Dad and then with Billy, my boyfriend. It was great to speak to them but also resulted in me missing home a great deal more than normal. Sarah and I drifted off to sleep somewhere around 530am.

Tuesday got off to a bit of a late start after less sleep than we would have liked. Sarah, who looked as though she was on her way to making a full recovery yesterday, was feeling ill again. She dragged herself to the Natural History Museum with me but wound up heading home early. I stayed on and wandered around the Victoria and Albert museum, checking out exhibits that we hadn't had

time to see on Sunday. Eventually though, lost in my own thoughts, I wasn't distinguishing a 17th century gold Spanish chalise from a 15th century vishnu statue from nothern India. I had officially been museum'ed out. After a stop for coffee and a brain break, I headed back to Shepherds Bush to find a sleeping Sarah. A few hours later, David called. Plans were to head to a pub on Goodge St and meet two girls, Dani and Sue, at a pub. Dani, Sue, David and Sarah all worked together one summer at EMC, a summer camp for kids run out of Atlantic College. Brave Sarah peeled herself out of bed as it was her last chance to see them before we left. We faced the ravenous cold and found our way to the Fitzroy, a cute yet horribly smokey pub in Euton. The night was so much fun that I nearly felt that it was me reuniting with old friends. Sue, Dani and Natasha say a big hello to Anna and Anna.

And now, I am finally caught up. It's nearly 9am. There is SNOW on the ground in London and according to David, people freak out about snow here more than they do in Vancouver. Getting to the bus today should proove interesting. We've brought a cold front with us from Canada....Sarah, get your long johns!

If it's snowing in Mumbai then I'm coming home!

I hope these entries are finding you all happy and well.
xoxo Carle
