To be honest I was a little apprehensive about holding him, as you can tell from my face
I was in Magnetic Island for 4 rainy days. It was only meant to have been 2 days, but we somehow got stranded there as the coaches leaving were fully booked. It was a lovely island, and the hostel we stayed at was gorgeous.

Magnetic Island is called this becasuse when Captain Cook discovered the island he believed that the ores on the island had affected his compass.

We visited the Koala Village, where I held a gorgeous koala called Squirt. Now, it wasn't until after I had held him that the ranger proceeded to tell me that he was the most dangerous of all the animals I had held that day (croc, lizard and snake) and that he had been a bit grumpy that morning.....well what do you expect from a tennage male who spends most of his day sleeping and doing nothing, only to be picked up and handed around crooning tourists. Anyway, he was lovely and I could have quite happily taken him home with me.

Another day we hired a moke which is a little car you can zip around the island in, it's almost like a toy car and is so nippy. We really wanted a pink one, but we had to make do with a yellow one. Great fun.

It felt very heavy and you could feel all the muscles moving it it's body.

A guy was holding the croc just after me and the tape around his mouth broke. Bit scary, as even the baby crocs are vicious.
