Hey everyone!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to update my blog but to be honest I can't wait to share some of the pictures from todays white water rafting trip (which was awesome!). Before I do tell you about the day I should update you on where I have been...

I am no longer on the South Island, I came over to the North Island last week(?) and am enjoying it here. I spent my first night in Auckland and then it was off Hahie where we were supposed to see the hot water beaches but it rained (hard) so we spent the night watching TV. After Hahie it was off to Raglan which is quite a neat place. It is a well known surfing "village" and there we stayed at a really cool hostel that had a ropes course and zip-line so we basically hung around the hostel and played. We also were able to see some glow worms that were along the zip line course...

We had a couple of other stops between Ragland and Rotorua but to be honest nothing really exciting happened and after awhile a beach is a beach and a

NOW FOR TODAY!

It was a total blast! I bought a combo package and did the white water rafting trip today down a grade 4/5 river which was a blast. One of the waterfalls we went over was 7m and we were totally submerged at the bottom of the fall but thankfully no one fell out. Due to the rain the past few days the river is quite high and is moving fast so the guides were freaking us out by continually reminding us that if we fell out to start swimming and grab anything we can. Tomorrow I do the white water sledging which is supposed to be even more intense (not rating wise but "fear" wise) so I am really looking forward to that. We will be on the river for 4hrs and then they give us a BBQ lunch. I will report tomorrow with some pictures from the sledge. I wanted to send you some from today tho as I think they are quite cool.

Also...I did the ZORBA the other day, you may have seen it on the Amazing Race this past season. When you watch the ball go

Under the sea! I am still in the boat holding on for all it's worth!
down the hill it doesn't look too exciting or intense but when you're in the ball falling everywhere it is a lot of fun.

Well I will sign off for now and will tell you more about Rotorua and some other places I've been to if I survive the sledge tomorrow! (some guy broke a bone in his foot today doing it so it should be interesting!).

Take care!

I'm back! While waiting for the photo's to download I just remembered a bunch of stuff I should be telling you about but it will have to wait until tomorrow!

ps..Mom and dad (and Geof!) I will be careful tomorrow not to break any bones!
