On Tuesday morning, we flew to Ko Samui. The flight was at 6.30am and we didn't get to the airport until 6am due to the fact that the clock on my phone was still on Myanmar time. Luckily for me, the people at Bangkok Airways were very nice and they fast tracked us through. From Ko Samui, we took a ferry to Ko Pha Ngan as we wanted to go to the 'full moon party' on Wednesday night. After arriving, it took an hour of phoning around different accommodation to find somewhere with a vacancy. It was a bit pricey but we had a nice bungalow for 3 nights. On Wednesday, we each hired a scooter for the day to explore the island. In the evening, there was an estimated 25,000 people drinking and partying on the beach for the full moon party. It was quite an experience (from what I remember) although I think I fell asleep for a couple of hours??? After waking up to the bright sunshine, I stayed until 9.30am and had a morning swim in the sea to wake me up. Needless to say, Thursday was spent sleeping and nursing a hangover.
