Day 3 & 4 Anaheim - Disneyland

For your xmas and our xmas eve (24th Dec) we went to Disneyland - California Adventure Park. This is just across the road from Disneyland and is what we basically think a continuation of Disneyland (which didn’t fit on the original land) across the road which they can also charge for.

So at this Disneyland we went on all the rides. Our favorites were the rocket or something which was like the giant drop but opposite- you shoot up into the air. We did the standard roller coaster etc. The best was the Haunted Hollywood Hotel where you went into this haunted mansion and got in the lift which was pitch black. It took you to the top level and then just let it drop back down- literally felt like free falling. If we were not in seats with seat belts we would on been on the roof. And then it continued to go up and then drop. Scary stuff.

Also here we went to classes on how to draw Disney characters which we really enjoyed. Of course mine were better than Benns! We got photos with heaps of characters- Cinderella, Mickey, Woody, Sully, Mr & Mrs Incredible, Goofy and Pluto. We also went to a few 3D shows in our times at the theme parks at Universal Studios, Knotts Berry and Disneyland. We went to a show called 'A Bugs Life' Disney movie about bugs. Neway this was the best 3D show we saw. It had a huge spider drop just above our heads. Our seats moved as if the bugs where underneath and so did the floor. So it was very real. After it shut at 8pm we walked up and down Downtown Disney (outside shops and restaurants).

For our xmas and your boxing day (25th Dec) we went back to Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure to just finish off the things we hadn’t done and to go back on our favorite rides and to take more pictures. This time when we took photos we wore Christmas hats with Mickey ears. For tea we went back to the Hotel and had a buffet dinner which was really nice and as usual as you do on xmas day, we ate too much.

For both these days it has been beautiful sunny days. We have been in thongs and t -shirts. Benn wore his shorts. It was prob round 24 degrees (not sure).
