Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road

Hey all,

We've just uploaded some photos from Singapore and Bali so check them out if you want to in the previous journal!

Well we are now in Melbourne, the weather wasn't great to start with but it seems to have cleared up now (for the time being anyway!)

We're staying in a great little hostel called Base Backpackers - you get a lot of perks if you are a girl staying in the girls only dorms called the Sanctuary - free towels, hair dryer, straightners (a real luxury!), Aveda products and a free glass of champagne everyday! It's pretty cool!

Over the past three days we hired a car and drove down the Great Ocean road - it was amazing, pretty much as you would imagine it - cliffs on one side and then sweeping views of the coastline and the ocean on the other, it's a really beautiful drive and we had a lot of freedom because of the car - we're really glad we decided to do it that way and not a one day organised tour.

So hear are some photos of it - we'll try and put as many on as we can before the internet cuts out!

Hey guys! Glad you're having a great time and well done for staying in Base Backpackers - it's great isn't it!? Barman's fit (if he's still there as well!) Love the fish pool underglass. So wish i was back there and the great ocean road looks fab! Keep updating, it's getting me through the days!!!! If i don't get a chance before HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!! Lots of love xx
