Well, how many forms of transportation is it possible to use in 24 hours? Lucy and I managed most, if not all of them on our journey back to Bangkok from Koh Phag Nan. We began our journey in the back of a pickup truck which took us to our ferry. We then got a coach which ejected us and our baggage onto the streets of Surat Thani in the middle of the night. We were then bundled into a random minibus with a group of equally confused travellers, which took us to the train station, or so we thought. Thailand being Thailand, it actually dropped us at a street cafe with a 2 hour wait, so we tucked into some lovely greasy egg fried rice surrounded by stray dogs. Once we found the train station we found a platform of delayed passengers, and our train was delayed by two hours. We met two "Dudes" from America and shared our craving for a good cup of English tea. Malcolm (Dude #1) pointed out that a cafe on the platform was selling pots of tea, we should point out that the said cafe was a bit of a hike. However, with tea on offer, nothing could stop us. Bags back on backs we trundled to the other end of the station feeling elated by the thought of tea. Please see picture below, this shows what was delivered to us. Answers on the back of a postcard please! We then had an overnight train journey to endure. This was such a strange experience, because even though I was so tired, I struggled to get much sleep due to the movement of the train and people getting on and off at each station. Although we did have our own little curtained compartment, see photo.

We landed in Bangkok and got a taxi to the airport through the Bangkok traffic. Now that our journey in Thailand is over and we are safely in Australia we feel it is time to reflect on our week in Thailand. We only have one thing to say "Ban the Buckets"!! The Bucket is a concoction of Samsumg Thai Redbull, Vodka and lemonade....in a bucket. Doesn't sound too bad, but one of these things and you'll be dancing on the beach like a lunatic. A few more, and you suddenly think that dancing in the sea is a great

idea....well Lucy did. Until she had to walk home in dripping wet clothes. We spent most nights on Sunrise beach drinking buckets, watching firethrowers, and dancing until 6am. The atmosphere was awesome and well worth a visit.

The rest of our time in Koh Phag Nan was spend at Coral Bungalows on Sunset beach where we enjoyed the local cuisine and chilled out watching the sun go down. We met people from different countries and walks of life. We think it's fair to say we had an amazing time on Koh Phag Nan and were sad to say goodbye to the people we met there. Thankyou Coral Bungalows for the hospitality shown.

And here begins our adventures in Australia....to follow.
