That's a little bit of a lie, since technically we are in a part of West London called Uxbridge (which is its own city, I believe). Haven't really done too many exciting activities (yet) but we are planning on going to see some museums in central London this weekend (Tate Modern, British Museum, etc). Classes are going well, and it seems that they will be relatively easy, but quite a bit of work. Since classes only consist of one engineering course and an english/history course, it doesn't seem like a lot, but I am probably putting as much work per day into these two classes as I do a full load during a normal semester at ISU. For the history class, we just have to write a large research paper and turn it in by the end of the 6 week period, whereas the engineering course has homework, reading, and exams to prepare, as well as lectures to attend, but they are light-spirited and a good time since we get lots of breaks and nothing is too serious or down to earth. The actual engineering material is pretty easy to understand, it just takes learning it. Its pretty amazing the amount of material one class can cover when that is pretty much the only class you go to (we have already gone through 5 chapters of a textbook in under 2 days). This week we have lectures for the history class (mostly about women in the United States during the 19th and early 20th centuries) in the afternoon, but those end tomorrow, and then we just prepare for our paper in our spare time after that. Next week we will have only 3 days of lecture for engineering, test Thursday morning (tests every week), and then we are seeing a play in the Globe Theatre in the afternoon (I think we are seeing The Winter's Tale). We may also try to find a place in Scotland to go canyoning again for next weekend, since it was so awesome the first time.

As for the rest of the trip, we are going to try and go to see Wales, Scotland (probably Edinbourgh), and Ireland (probably Dublin). If you know of any great ways to get around in those places (or specific places to see), let me know (email, comment, etc).

Glad to hear all is well. Don't go overboard with the canyoning, especially for the area(s) that aren't reputable (I was aware of Interlachen). And don't try to "bother" the Royal Guards at Buckingham Palace; they discourage this sort of behavior...lol!! - Dad
