Next we went to Xian (famous for its dumplings!) and enjoyed a bike ride on the city walls. Louise and her new friend Meenal rode a tandem which was really fun.
The next day we took advantage of our free time by seeing none of the sights and temples and instead going shopping. We had McDonalds for breakfast and lunch, David bought an England shirt, Louise bought new jeans, and we topped it all off with a comprehensive circuit of the Muslim market. This was packed with souvenirs of all kinds. David bought a chinese emperor's hat and was amusingly mistaken for a stallholder by a tourist!
The following day we visited China's biggest money-spinner, the Terracotta Warriors. Quite good, but not as impressive as we had expected. Next, the capital!

Looking good!
Hi Guys!! In New Zealand at the moment and having a slow and quite low day. A whole email of tips and info when I get back but just thought I'd let you know I miss you both and also add that one of my friends pointed out how hot David was looking. Travelling (and designer stubble) obviously doing you both good!! xxx
