it's pouring out. and it's been pouring for 24hours straight. and it will continue to pour for the next few days. doesn't make hiking easy, and it makes driving perilous.... at least to those of us used to driving on the right side of the road.
we headed to greymouth this morning, and i had my first roadkill. a poor little bird took off just as we passed by and i hit it right across the broadside. poor thing. i felt so guilty...
there's snow in the mountain passes. large fluffy flakes. very scenic. too bad it's rain everywhere else. it's so thinck you can't make out anything over 2km away. so most of the clouds and ocean were obscured.
headed up to punakaike (sp?) to see the famous "pancake rocks" it's impressive, what with the surge channels and blowholes. but we're soaked to the bone. i'm off to make some hot soup for dinner...

We miss you!!!
Hey Vince, Good job on the blog, we're very impressed! Sounds like you're having a great time! Hopefully the rain will stop, we all know you're not the best driver, even in good conditions! We're having a lot of fun here at the office, since we set up your area as our daily lunch zone. We have been careful not to get crumbs in your keyboard, so don't worry! You're missing out on lot of snow...and an influx of e-cards, which Johnny is taking care of or trying to. Anyway, take care and we miss your grumpiness around here!
