(it took me 2 washes to get all the pollen off my jumper)
Hey guys - a long time since my last entry. I have been slack slack slack. Apologies. A lot has been happening in Kimmy land. We have had 2 bank holidays (they don't seem to have names), which has meant I have had time away with friends.

Firstly for May bank holiday weekend (the first one) I went away with my cousin Rachie and her friend from Melbourne Ruth. We hired a car and explored the south east of england. Staying the night in bed and breakfasts in Brighton and then Cantebury. There are loads of towns a long the coast - Heath was cool with its cobbled streets & Simon the Pieman shop, which consequently had the best Devonshire (but its not called that in Suffolk) Teas. Brighton was really trendy - we had the best weather. Drunk a lot of beer in the Sun in Brighton, even exploring the pier and going on the carnival rides. The haunted house was the most tacky - almost scarry due to the carts that didn't feel that secure, especially when your on the side of the ocean. The beaches were all stones and made this fantastic sound with the pulling in and out of the waves. It was in Brighton that we discovered that so many men wearing pink shirts that we turned it into a game - if you called a pink shirt on a man you got a point. You lost a point for false positives (i.e. the shirt wasn't pink or it was a woman) or for men that you had seen before. I kicked ass scoring 42 over the whole weekend - Rachie had trouble getting past ), spending the most of the weekend in negatives.

Cantebury was cool - the cathedral fantastic. So large. So full of history. There is a place called the Cantebury Tales that we enjoyed too - a interactive mueseum of the famous stories (reccommended by kim).

Dover was very overratted and I wouldn't bother going.

I managed to get my stuff sorted and found a locum agency to get me into a job. I have been working in a south east hospital in london. I have spent 2 weeks in care of the elderly, and am now in acute medical. I am commuting in from Colchester, which is about 50 minutes to London then I get a tube and then a bus. Smoothly with all things running the whole journey is 1.5 hours in the morning about 1.75 in the after noon. With delays (which i get because I rely on 3 services) it can take 2 hours +. Its nice to be back into therapy - I have also been working doing functions silver service waiteressing , I suck at it. I got in trouble for dropping a potato & once i knocked someone's wine over without notcing. I have also house sat and had to look after 2 black labs (kiwi & golly). Kiwi had a tumour and died on thursday.

The Walkerdens took me with them to a place called Centre Parcs which was in Elevedon Forrest (near thetford, about an hour north of london). We spent the long weekend there, just this last weekend. It is about a 1000m sqaure block of forrest - where you live in a shalet and play sports. You ride around the place on bikes. Its fantastic. We played tennis (X2), Badminton (X2), table tennis, 10 pin bowling. There are massive pools that have rapids, wave pools, water slides, plunge pool (into ice water), spas, bubbling pools - swiming was the best. We spent the last day in a heath spa being pampered and relaxing in about 10 different types of saunas. Centre Parcs is heaven.

I also had a day trip with Suzanne to Cambridge and cruised around the univeristy being tourists and snapping pictures.

Graeme (physio from Waikato) visisted on Tuesday night. We had a few drinks at the village pub - was fantastic to see him. Had a good laugh, he forced me to drink.

What is next in store for kimmy girl? well I am going to coldplay in glasgow on the 2nd of july. Hoping to possibly do a contiki in europe following this (depends on work). My cousin has just pulled out of the trip to glasgow if anyone is keen to come with me.....
