Hello everyone!

Our latest travelblog begins with our Halloweeen pictures! This year we went to a Halloween costume party here in English Village with many of our fellow teachers and friends. The party started at our local English Village Pub "Double Decker," and finished at "Saturn" - one of the residence halls here. As you can see, Larry and I went as a butterfly and a butterfly-catcher this year! We didn't have a lot of time and resources to get together some really good costumes this year, but we think we did alright...(Although at first glance, a lot of people thought Larry was a fisherman!) Our friends had some really fun costumes too, including secret agent spies, "couple t-shirt" outfits (when Korean couples wear matching clothes), and even some drag too! It was a lot of fun!!

The next few pictures are from a dinner we had in Heyri Art Valley. We went one Sunday night (our "Friday" night...the night before our weekend), and we went with our friends Adam & Jessica. Heyri Art Valley is right across the street from English Village and is becoming very popular here in Korea. This area is a small community of residences and commercial buildings designed by some of Korea’s most renowned architects from all over the world, one of whom we met designed the famous PRADA building in Tokyo. Among the buildings already opened are cafes, galleries, bookstores and artists’ studios, but many more are being built and opened everyday. Once the village is completed, it is expected to be home to about 370 artist residents. (At the moment, it is about two-thirds complete...). It's a great place to sight-see, visit museums and local art galleries, and have a bite to eat... We had dinner that night at a great restaurant called "Foresta". "Foresta" is in a building called THE BOOKHOUSE...a very popular building in Heyri Art Valley.

That same weekend we spent a day in Seoul with Adam & Jessica. We wandered around in the famous Namdaemun Market and did a little shopping, and later stopped to take some pictures in front of Namdaemun Gate. Afterwards we had dim sum at a beautiful restaurant called "Din Tai Fung". Here we had dim sum, and 'dim sum' more.... (haha!)

Lastly, we included some pictures from one of the street performances I was performing in here called "Hip Hop Phonics". We are done with our street performances now for the winter, but every weekend while the weather was nice, we were doing these performances 3-4 times/day. In "Hip Hop Phonics," we would play educational games with the children passing by on the street that would teach them about a variety of topics in English - including the 7 continents of the world and the 12 months of the year. Then, for the grand finale, we would perform a fun hip-hop dance to "Car Wash"! It was loads of fun!!

As for me, Larry, I don't have any pictures of me at work although my classes are alot of fun. I am still learning new and exciting activities, such as the Post Office and Police Station, where I get to role play with the kids. Work is good, our days off are better and life is great. Come visit us.

Well, that's all for now.... Please take care and keep in touch until our next travelblog! :-)

Love,
Larry & Melanie
