Falls at night - spectacular.
The highlight of the trip - we were so lucky to have planned our trip to Iguazu during a full moon. And that it was actually clear that night was another huge bonus, since it rains A LOT here. Here are our pictures from the Falls. Completely mesmorizing, and so much bigger than we thought. Poor Niagra.
To pick up from my last entry in Iguazu - we did go bird watching! It is actually much more fun than it sounds. We were after the Toucan, which is a very "shy bird", according to the park rangers. So, with camera in hand we braved the mosquito-laden rain forest Macuco Trail for a 5 mile hike to see if we could track the Toucan. Lo and behold, we encountered the elusive Tuc. Not once, but twice! In fact, we even have a picture for your enjoyment. Anyway, it was a lot of fun being in the middle of the rainforest with tropical birds and trees all around. We were hoping for a jaguar or puma spotting too, but alas, no cats to be found. We rounded out the Iguazu trip with lots of smokers and Phil Collins jamming on repeat in the lobby - so needless to say, it was an A+ trip!!! (Give me one.. more.. night...)

I love Argentina!
Molly and Harold, I love Argentina! I want to go there! Cheap wine, fantastic scenery, great food, dancing in the streets---how much better could it get?? Do they serve iced tea there? By the way, whose dirty finger was that with the big ant? YUCK! Love and smacks, Mom (Dad, too!)
