Is booking everything ahead necessary?
16 years ago, April 20th 2008 No: 1 Msg: #33048
Four of us are heading to Ecuador for 3 weeks in July. Is it necessary to book all of our accommodations ahead of time or will we be able to find reasonable places on the fly in the major cities? We\'re not aiming for a total budget trip, but all four of us are teachers so we\'re not independently wealthy. Language is not an issue as all of us are fluent Spanish speakers. Thanks for any info. We\'re looking forward to a great trip. Reply to this

Hello Sarah 😊

I went to Ecuador around 10 years ago. I did not book anything and had no trouble getting budget accomodation. But that was in December during the rainy season.....

I was in Ecuador last year for six months and found no trouble getting accomodation unless it happened to be a national holiday and you were headed to a popular beach resort or something. On the whole it's very easy to get reasonable hostels without booking.
Have fun! xx Reply to this
