Hello!
My girlfriend and I want to travel (november, december) to Antartica!
We found best price of 5400 USD per person for 12 days from Ushuaia?
Is that the best and the cheapiest way to go to Antartica?
Thanks a lot!

Reply to this You can go down to 3400usd per person in November. www.polarcruises.com
just back from Antartica...this is the kind of dream trip...try to stick to stick to one of the cruise from Quark expedition, really nice people...some of the pics are on this blog.
An amazing trip, just enjoy!
Reply to this from Australia or New Zealand-but it's simple to find a run under $4,000 leaving from Ushuaia, at the tip of Argentina (about a $350 round-trip flight from Buenos Aires). I guess you can find more cheaper way or cheaper deals.
Reply to this Well, there are few trips also from Australia, but they are longer and A LOT more expensive. Be careful, all the cheapest trips are sold fast, so you often need to book months in advance. Have fun! Peter

Thanks for answers!
We would like to take a travel insourance. Did we get it from company and how much is it?
What about trip cancellation insurance, how much is it?
Did you pay by bank in advance or with credit card?
Thanks😊
Reply to this Hi, you need to have a travel insurance with a minimum of 100,000 usd cover if you want to go on any boat...and honestly, you are looking at at least 300,000usd...if things go wrong down there...they can be messy....that's was a topic of discussion on the cruise.

Have anybody any experience with "cruise norway". They offer to us Classic Antartica for 3950 USD!!! It great beacouse we get extra free air ticket from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, and hotel accomodation in Buenos Aires for one day.
Is it maybe suspiciously?😊)
Thanks a lot
Reply to this Hi Noah,
We went to Antarctica with Quark on the Lyubov Orlova last December. An amazing trip - see photos on my blog. Total cost was US$4,500 per person. I would be a bit suspicious of going with anything cheaper as I have heard bad stories of ships with no heating, bad food, etc. The Quark trip exceeded our expectations.
Best wishes, Ruth
