Am sure you'll enjoy your time Nic21! I was a volunteer with Projects Abroad too in Sri Lanka and definitely it was really worth it. I agree it's quite expensive but having someone backing me up in case things go wrong made me more confident in doing my projects. Having to talk to one of the local staff before actually going to the country, answering all my questions - made me well aware of what I was getting myself into and etc.
I also stayed with local host family which was very unique experience.

Weekend travels with other volunteers (you will get to meet many - which is one thing good!!!) were amazing!!!!

Enjoy and have a good time x

Hello Tsutsu 😊

Are you a tour guide or belonging to a travel agency. Tour guides and Travel Agents are not allowed to promote their services on the forums. This would include asking members to email you for information.

No problem Tsutsu 😊 We got too many spammers on this site, so we tend to be a bit suspicious. Reply to this

There are some less well known organizations which do a good job and offer quite interesting volunteering opportunities....

Have a look at : www.massai-experience.org

and what they are doing in Kenya and Tanzania Reply to this

I am taking this occasion to let you know about a Free Volunteering Project that will take place on the 1st of July.

The aim of the “Ghana Mission” is to create your own project to make your own creative impact on the children of Petals Education Centre. Your ideas will be implemented in the municipality of Nkawkaw in Petals Education Centre, a few hours from the capital Accra.
This free program is open to all groups and ages from any background over 18. Your initiatives can range from teaching and coaching sports to anything related to media and journalism. Sky is the limit in terms of creativity ideas!
Also, you will get the chance to visit the most beautiful landscapes of Ghana and immerse yourself into its culture. You will be looked after by a host family where peace, democracy and warmth reign.
Be your own project manager and improve the lives of the school children whilst achieving your goals. All we require from you is lots of energy and enthusiasm!
The start of The Mission is on 1st of July. If you are interested please fill the form following this link http://www.petalseduc.com/Application.html.
