Hi. A couple of friends and I are travelling to Africa on July. We are doing the gorillas in Uganda ans safari in Serengeti. After that we want to do something different a see new views of Africa. We heard about Namibia and some great hiking trails but we have also heard about Senegal and the beautiful beaches, that it could be cheaper than Namibia during July, but we are not sure that is we can do hiking and outdoor stuff apart from beaches.
I would appreciate your suggestions in terms of hiking opportunities, new views of Africa, transportation between Tanzania and Namibia vs Senegal and off course, prices during July.
Thanks!!!
Reply to this Senegal does have amazing beaches, and it's a very interesting country. I'm not sure there is much in the way of hiking, etc near Dakar, but my friends spent a week in southeastern Senegal (past Tambacounda) and they did some hiking there and saw some interesting, remote Bedik villages.
