Cycling accross Tanzania

what do i need to cycle accross Tanzania??

Hi There

I have just decided im going to cycle accross Tanzania starting in Kampala Uganda (where im now living) and down to the border and accross then to Zanzibar where i intend to reward my self with a few weeks chilling on the most beautifull beachs. I dont cycle, and have no idea where to start except to buy a bike a map and some sun screan... any one any advice on what i will need to bring, routes, etc any one done it before?? love to hear feom you.. Im going to do it in june this year (2008) ....

I would head right down to Mbeya and then up to Dar via Iringa, Morogoro. First bit bad bad roads, but you'll have the tarmac to look forward to and some great scenery. Do stop off at Iringa and stay at Riverside campsite and visit Neema crafts in town for the best chocolate cake and ice cream in tanzania and leave enough time to have a good look around this amazing project check them out on www.neemacrafts.com Reply to this
