Overnight bus from Cusco to Puno?

I will be traveling from Cusco to Puno on the 24th of December and would prefer to take an overnight bus so as to not lose any daylight time. The Cruz del Sur company (which is awesome) only has one bus to Puno daily and it leaves at 8am. Does anyone have any recommendations of a bus company to take (or not to take)? I would like to buy tickets before I leave Lima.
