Travelling to Egypt next Thursday and haven't really got time to go to the embassy before.
A friend suggested to get the Visa on arrival at Cairo before going through immigration, for a fee of USD15.
Just wondered how easy it is and if it's normal/ accepted procedure.
We're only going for 2 weeks and not to Sharm.
Cheers.

Reply to this EU passport holders can easily obtain a visa at immigration in Egypt. All you need to do is buy a visa sticker for US$ 15,- at one of the counters in the arrivals hall.
You can get a
FREE Sinai visa if your stay is limited to the Sinai peninsula (divers note that this excludes Ras Mohammed National Park and the SS Thistlegorm). This is particularly interesting if you arrive at Sharm el-Sheikh airport, at Taba (overland from Israel) or in Nuweiba (by ferry from Jordan). Just walk up to the immigration desk and ask for a "Sinai only" visa. Note that your stay will be limited to the Sinai peninsula, e.g. a trip to Cairo will not be possible.
