| Question re the wisdom of me changing my pounds to dollars before I travel. | |||||||||||||||

My question is I am planning to travel to East Africa then to Central America soon, would it make sense to change any cash I take with me on this trip from pounds to dollars before I leave the UK?. As its free to change pounds to dollars at certain travel agents in the UK, would I get more for my money abroad this way? | Nantume Judy Sconyers Post Count: 2 Msg: #2 871 days ago, July 6th 2007 | I'm not sure what the advantage of changing your money would be. The dollar is very weak right now. My best luck as far as exchanging dollars for Uganda shillings was to use my ATM card at the ATM machines at the banks in Kampala and the ATM machine at the airport in Entebbe. Those were the only places I found to exchange money except at a few hotels while on Safari where the exchange rate was not as good. I spent most of my time in rural Uganda. | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 2 | ||||||||||
