Seeking to make a small group of homies for travel in brazil, rather than go it alone
hey, my name´s mel and i am currently travelling in SA alone. I wanted to try and form a small group of people to hang with when I am in Brazil as to be honest, I´m thinking it might be a bit dangerous to be alone there, I dont speak portuguese, and it will be more fun to have a group. Could save money on accomm and trips also. Not sure of my route yet but plan to be in Brazil in July. Any one nosy about this drop me an email and check out my blog, also i am on facebook.
Would be fun to have a mixed nationality group but I´m not fussed, maybe about four or five people, mixed sex, i´m 27.

I don't know if you're still in Brazil by the end of July and the beginning of August, 'cause I will go to brazil (Backpacking) From Suriname via French Guiana into Brazil!
And I will try to make it to Rio de janeiro or Florianopolis. If you want we can look eachother up.

Reply to this Hey im currently in England and thinking of travelling to Brazil in late june i haven't actually planned anything yet though lol, i really want to see some of the world before i leave for university, but if i do go (which i really really want to) i would really like to meet up some other ppl so im not totally alone. Have you made any plans for Brazil yet?

Reply to this I have my tickets bought too, fly to Sao Paulo on 26th June and fly back 11th September. Don't really have much of a plan yet, altho was thinking may go straight to Rio as apparently there's not that much to see in S.Paulo and I have to fly back from there anyway. I'm going alone, but would be good to meet up with others, same reasons as Mel really. I graduated from uni in England a year ago, have been too busy trying to get the money together to go to come up with much a plan!
Reply to this Hi everyone, I'll be in Brazil from July to mid-August! I don't speak any Portuguese, but I recently bought the Portuguese for Dummies book! Haha! I speak Spanish, though, so I'm hoping to get by on that.
I'm interested in doing EVERYTHING that i possibly can... seeing the sights (Rio, Salvador, Amazon, Iguassu), dancing samba, drinking caipirinhas, watching some capoeira, listening to live music, talking to the locals, hitting the beaches, visiting some local schools (I'm a teacher), doing some volunteer work, anything that's fun or informative!!!!
I've always travelled with friends and this will be my FIRST time travelling alone. I'm a little nervous about it. I'd love to meet up with any of you while we're all in Brazil.
About me: 26, female, Latina teacher from Los Angeles, in a committed relationship with a boy who's going to be in South Africa all summer. =)
Reply to this I hope to be in brazil during late July, but that all depends on getting my passport and then my visa. Does anyone know if you can get a visa without a round trip ticket?

and i am currently in brazil. i am doing a trainee in the south of brazil. i am ready with it end of june and i want to travel than.
i want to go to the north, because its really cold in the south, nearly to 0 degrees.
i will go to manaus and by boot to belem, from belem by bus to sao louis and then the cost until salvador.
ist there anybody who likes my plan?
i am 24 years old and speak a bit of port.
i hope i will find some buddies to travel!

Before returning to Holland I will probably travel the north of Brazil from the end of July through August and the beginning of September. I don't have any specific plans yet, but I would like to travel with somebody because it might be a bit unsafe otherwise. By the way, I do speak Portuguese by now...

Reply to this WE WILL BE THERE! The more the merrier. It would be myself and one friend with me and one friend who is studying in Rio. We will be arriving in Sao Palo on July 9. We should be getting cell phones to keep in touch. Our first trip will be to the Amazon - it would be nice to share the experience and the expense not to mention safety in numbers. Contact me... we may be changing our initial landing from Sao Palo to Manaus. I will be there Until July 22 and we plan for our last city to be Rio.
From North to South Starting in the Amazon. Down the coast options are Belo Horizonte, Savlador & finally Rio.
