Hi Sema,

Is it necessary for you to take a tour? Cusco and Sacred Valley are easily done independently. Only Inca Trail needs to be booked weeks ahead and MP itself needs to be booked a few days before.

Happy travels,
Beata

Hello Sema, I recently visited Peru and of the various tour companies that I used in each town, I found one that I really liked. I have recommended it to another one of the travelers from here. I used it for my Colca Canyon tour, but know that they service both Machu Picchu as well as Cusco. If you are interested, please message me and I will email the link.

Beata and Tomek are correct in their post; however, I don't feel comfortable going without having my T's crossed and I's dotted. Also, the climb to the top of Wayna Picchu can sell out ahead of time from what I understand.

Again, I used them only for an overnight excursion to the Colca Canyon, but was quite pleased. Regardless, please have a wonderful trip. Peru truly is a magical place. Reply to this

We booked Wayna Picchu 4 days before and there were still plenty of spots - that was just before X-mas so very popular time I suppose. I think people struggle with WP as it is another steep climb to do (2-4h depending on a way you choose), so maybe not everybody is interested.

To us everything in Peru was rather straightforward but I can understand that one would want to book an agency:-)

There is plenty of Inca ruins around Cusco to occupy your attention for a while, so don't worry:-) Lack of time could be your bigger problem rather than having too much time hahha

We really recommend spending some time in Ollantaytambo village as it is very authentic and views around are just breathtaking:-)

Thank you for all your help! Ollantaytambo seems to be a good option Reply to this
