Reply to this Hi all, thanks for the nomination! Ironically we took this photo on a whale watching trip in kaikoura (New Zealand), but the dolphins were the highlight of the trip! Although the jumping dolphin in the picture looks very graceful, in fact the majority of the dolphins were playing around doing full body flips and slapping the water like a belly flop! It was amazing to watch - very funny, and heartwarming to see them having a laugh. Thanks, Paul and Flora.
Reply to this May not be a backflip but the angle you got...with the water stream behind...leads one into a most pleasing flow of movement...can't think of a nicer shot...you must be delighted you caught that moment.
