Hey all... I saw these a little while ago and was kind of blown away... seems like such fun, So I tried it on a couple of my pics... Not great examples but cool nonetheless... Anyone else posted any 'Little Planets' on here?

😊

Mike - I love these "little planet" shots - but haven't yet made one.... can you outline how you did them? Reply to this

Hey Ali,

If you google "polar panorama" you'll get loads of tutorials and from what I can gather it's fairly straightforward in Photoshop. to save you a few clicks here's the one at the top. 😊

I didn't do it this way though. I use a program called Dynamic-Photo HDR (along with Photomatix) for doing HDR images and it comes with a small image editor called Photobee. this actually has a function that will instantly turn any photo into a polar panorama.

It's quite fun to see what happens when you treat photos this way and you quickly realise what makes a good 'little planet' and what doesn't. To get inspired check out Flickr, there are some truly incredible examples on there... 😊
