I am still in the early planning stages, but I was wondering other people's opinions of my itinerary. I was thinking of flying into Bogota for say 4 nights...I will arrive the same day I leave..... (is that a reasonable amount of time for the city?? 3 whole days or do I need at least 1 or 2 more??) and then on to Lima, Peru via Lan airlines and then maybe one or two nights in Lima and on to Cusco (fly) on Sunday 14th Nov. and start my volunteer work on Monday 15th for 2 weeks M-F....it would end on Friday 26th (13 nights in Cusco for sure) and leave on Saturday 27th for Machu Picchu perhaps an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes (or elsewhere??) so I can go early on Sunday to climb H. Picchu. I am thinking of just doing the train/bus and not the Inca trail. Return to Cusco on Sunday evening and on Monday go...????I will have about 9-10 more nights left for the trip at that point....how long would it take to go by land to La Paz and then I could catch a flight back to Lima?? Or am i better off flying to la paz from Cusco via Lima? (I have checked and it is an option) Thanks in advance for any suggestions..... Reply to this
