In 2 wks time, I\'m travelling to Mali (Bamako) for a month and I wish to have some general informations about whether, life, health, people, safety
I\'m gonna live for some days in a little village about 50km far from Bamako named Sebi, does anyone knows this place?
I'll stay in Bamako for 2-3 days. Can you suggest an clean and cheap hotel there? Is there any nice not touristic bar in Bamako with live african music? Any other suggestions for food, music, shopping?

We will travel for 10 days around Bamako (i.e. Dogon country, Mopti, Segou). Is it easy to find a tourist guider and rent 4*4 the last minute? Do you think is cheaper to find someone in Bamako than arrange something earlier?
Any idea of the "public transportation"? We would like to use the bus for some destinations (Bamako - Segou or Mopti) if it is possible unless there are daily bus services, are they? Reply to this

For a place to stay in or around Bamako I can advice you to take a look at the site www.case-voyage.com. This organisation has adresses in Mali and Senagal, people can stay with local african familys for 4 or 6 euros per night. The organisation is french but if you send them a message, in english, they can send you back al the information you need in english. They can also give you advises if you need. Reply to this
