The whole of South America is surrounded by great beaches. Countries of note would be Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador and north Peru | Punta del Este in Uruguay is the so called place for the rich and famous. The Pacific tend to have cold water, but better surf. For parties, Peru and Brazil do have great choices...and for food, Peru win for me.
