does anybody know information about bus from salvador to rio during the carnival..i thought to pass the first 3-4days of the carnival in salvador and then to go to rio...infromation about price, how much time? and if its difficult to do it during the carnival?
thanks
Reply to this I did that trip by bus last year!!!
Actually I left from Trancoso (a little down south) and down to Rio: 20 hours!
The bus stops in every tiny town... I wouldn't recommend it, especially because you want to leave from Salvador, which means it will take you at least 5 more hours!
Moreover, you want to travel during the Carnival period, which means that the ticket will cost you twice as much and it will probably take you even longer...
Honestly, if I were you, I would spend the entire Carnival in Salvador- it is sooo genuine you will never want to leave...and if you really do, there are plenty of towns where Carnival is still enjoyed but without that chaos which Rio brings.
P.S. I envy you!

Reply to this i did it last year in the first day of carnival, by air.
i advise u by air, because its 2 hour, and its the same price like bus (24 hours), and i think that its a good idea to lose
one day of the carnival, even u will arive so tired.
i take it with gol airlines 220 reas
Reply to this I'm with Maher. Price would roughly be the same, and so would CO2 footprint. And the flight would be so much more comfortable. On the other hand, the bus will save you a hotel night...
Usually Azul or Webjet are the cheapest.
