if you're doing a loop of the continent is it easier to go one way than the other? does it make any difference?
so, a fairly fundamental question for my itinerary. should i go clockwise or anti-clockwise??
most of the blogs/guidebooks/etc talk about doing the trip in a clockwise direction, but is there any reason for this?? do most people tend to travel in one direction??

Reply to this I did it anti-clockwise and met as many people going both directions. Rio right down to Ushuaia up to Cusco and down to Santiago. Check which way the weather suits you!
