Hi
Has anyone used a good reputible company for this trek? Looking to do the standard 17/18 day trek without being overcharged. What is a good price or any help/ideas/info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Reply to this Hi,
I used to go with my good friend from Nepal Arjun. I dont know did you hear about www.couchsurfing.com/hospitalityclub.com, people offering places to stay around the world. Thats how I met him, and it appeared he runs small trek agency for couchsurfers mainly. Always ready to help with the trip to Nepal, as well, he always offers his place to all travelers. If you want, go ahead drop him a line on
or if you are a couchsurfer check his profile http://www.couchsurfing.com/people/treknepal .
Have a good time in Nepal.

I moved this the Other Travel Sites forum, because it is the type of question that will attract too much SPAM in the Asia forum. Sorry to inconvenience you like this.

Reply to this Hi, best thing to do is fly in to kathmandu mate. I am an Englishman living here who runs an education business. There are 500 trekking agencies here some good and some bad. If you want a quality trek i suggest going through an independant guide, this way the guide and his family will benifit more than the trekking agency. Most of these guides come from the villages and are generally poor and will happily take two weeks off from the agency and take you trekking. You agree on a price lower than the agency and the guide gets to keep the money, it all helps in off season time. If you want any help let me know and i will point you in right direction of guides
