Travelling India early 2009

Hey all.

I am a 22 yr old german working atm in mumbai, but am planning to travel for a total of 6 months through India. I was hoping to start from mumbai and move towards the south in January (probably skipping goa!). Places that I want to see include Hampi, the backwaters, mysore, halebid/belur, pondicherry and mamallapuram. From there I am going to fly up north to see kolkata (maybe stop in bhubaneshwar > puri) and travel over land to darjiling and possibly gangtok (depends on time management). On a route over varanasi I am going to travel to Delhi, because I am meeting my sister there in the beginning of april so we can travel together (alone - sry) to dharamsala and amritsar. In may I am planning on seeing Rajasthan and some of Gujarat. I am easy going and think of myself as spontaneous and quite open. Ive just graduated from uni in england so am fluent in both german and english. Would be nice to travel with a spanish/french/norwegian speaking to refreshen my memory of that language.. but really dont care where you are from, how old you are or if you are m/f. hi and welcome to tb ania.
What are your exact travelplans for india? maybe we can meet up somewhere and see some things together.
My plans are more or less still up to date, atm I am figuring out every single step... organizing it is a nightmare. Looks like i'm going to kathmandu for a couple of days either in march or in february - really depends on my mood - because I need to go out of the country for a couple of days.
