| Is is safe to swim in rivers, lakes and the sea? Does anyone have any bad experiences to describe? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

I thing in the ocean it's also safe but not sure. A Ugandan man came along and told me that I shouldnt do that there because he say a snake under the rock that was right beside my feet yesterday. So I suppose snakes as well as other things like picking up parasites has to be considered. I would avoid swimming where the locals wont.
