Hi,

I was at Blue Morpho last year in July. It was very good. They are quite expensive, but I can highly recommend them. They have a beautiful lodge about 50km outside of Iquitos, with showers and flush toilets etc.

Be careful about going with any Shaman, or person that claims to be a shaman.

Hope you make it there! Reply to this

Hi,

Check out the articles and website of Peter Gorman http://www.pgorman.com
I went with him for a tour in 2006, and it was awesome. (see some of my pics: http://www.pauldeboer.net/iquitos/index.html)

He does a few tours a year, he takes you far from the city, and you can also see the Matses indians, and use their Sapo frog poison and nu-nu tobacco snuff. In july there is a big ayahuasca conference in Iquitos and afterwards Peter organised a jungle trip which was not that expensive. There are also other centres around the city where you can learn about shamanism. Have fun! Reply to this
