HAPPY NEW YEAR!! La Paz is the highest capital city in the world at 3660 metres above sea level. This is the highest that we have been so far. The city is set in a canyon and is overlooked by the towering triple-peaked Illimani, which is always snow-covered and is said to be as tall as Everest base camp. Happy New Year Jane, I am soooo glad you did not go on that bike ride. I remeber taking you on a bike trip and you fell off from the pavement in to the middle of the road at Canary Wharf. With nothing around to cause it. Smart Move !!!
