South America Review - Jerry’s final thoughts

After an amazing 5 weeks in South America, exploring Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina (plus short stops in Paraguay and Chile) , we thought we’d write a final review on our highs and lows about what we experienced and saw. Don’t feel you have to read this, its more for our memories!

1- The journey from London to Lima (Start of trip)
2- Our first Cruz del Sur bus in Peru (Never knew bus transport could be so luxurious)
3- Boat ride from Copacabana (Bolivia) to Isla del Sol

1- Overnight bus from Iguazu Falls- Buenos Aires
2- First class flight from Buenos Aires- Santiago
3- Overnight bus from Nazca- Cusco, Peru

Worst moment (or least favourite moment)

Scott
1- Getting Salmonella poisoning on the Inca Trail (2nd day) and following through.
2- Luggage being lost for 3 days at start oft he trip with neither BA or AA knowing where it was

Vic
1- Getting sick on the Inca Trail
2- Luggage not turning up on our first day in Peru
3- Leaving South America!

Ultimate highlights

Scott
1- Waking up to the most amazing starry sky on the last day of the Inca trail, at the sun gate, Peru.
2- Watching the sunset and the most incredible pink sky over lake verde on the salt flats tour, Bolivia.
3- Sandboarding down the highest dune in Huacachina at a speed of about 30km on my front, Peru.

2- Completing the Inca Trail, Peru
3- Seeing the Iguazu Falls, Argentina
