Better late than never

Hello everyone,

Well, we arrived...eventaully. Can you believe that the one bloody time it snows in England, we needed to catch a flight out of Heathrow! Were due to leave London at 9.40am, and after a hairy car ride from snowy Southampton (cheers pa) we arrived early and eager to leave the cold. 4 hours later and we were on our way! Missed our connecting flight to Lima from Miami but AA knew we were coming (along with many others) and had arranged a flight out. Landed in Lima late! (Shock) But were met by a kindly gentleman who took our bags and loaded us into his taxi. (Don´t worry folkes we hadn´t just jumped into a random persons car, we had actually pre arranged this one). We were 9 hours late arriving into Lima and by this time neither Tony or me had slept in over 32 hours. Well, we´d caught some flies whilst napping but nothing substantial.

The hotel we are staying at is a lovely old building with many old portraits and busts placed thoughout the place. We have a basic but very clean room with hot shower!!! we have 2 nights here before we leave for Paracas where we will be spotting local wildlife whilst visiting an off shore island.

Today was an exciting day. We left our hotel reasonably early (we still have jet lag you know!) and ventured off on a course to find a local bakery which tony had read about. 45 minutes later.... we found it. enjoyed a strawberry milkshake and several sweet pasteries.

So far we have...
had 2 expresso´s
seen 1 dressed dog
visited the San Francisco Cathedral
seen the pacific ocean (not all of it, that would just be silly)
seen PLaza de Armas
eaten our way through several portions of chicken (that is a staple here in Peru) 3 side orders of chips, 2 bowls of soup one of which was boasting one gelatenous chicken foot and a plump heart, a polenta cake with onions and tomatoes and a microwaved pizza. Much like home so far!

Slumber has hit us bad this time. OUr brains are mushy and our bodies are weak so for now we are signing off. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

PLOP PLOP IS BACK PLOPPING ON THE PLOP!!!!
Well my fellow travelling friends!!! leanne still hasnt been sick since the night of Sick sick gargle gargle sick plop sick. I was thinking, it couldve been worst, she couldve SH*T HER SELF!!!! If she had I'd taken a photo!!! I CANT BELIEVE WE DIDNT TAKE A PHOTO Of her in the bed covered in SICK!!!! WHY O WHY O WHY!!!! will have to sort it out!!!!! I'll get her sick again tonight and stick a banana in her bum. So sounds like your loving the feel of westernized culture on your travels. Get your self some red shoes, click together several times, there's no place like home. Theres no place like home....etc etc etc. CHECK CHECK, boom!!!! The snow was WICKED. Our office actually CLOSED as they didnt want people driving to work in the trecherous conditions!!!! Ha. Wicked!!!!! But back to work Wednesday boooooo hiss. After the game against Sheffield United on Tuesday too. You hear. We were 1-0 down. They had man sent off. Pulled back to 1-1 in 91st Minute. Then they scored 93rd miniute!!!DAMN!!!!! Watford away at weekend!!!! BOO HOO!!!! One place above us those vicarage pimps!!!
