We made it! Lima, MiraFlores Peru

We made it!!! Nothing too trying occured while flying from FL-to-Peru. What we did find interesting was all the families (probably 10+ families) that were doing the trek. One family had 8 CHILDREN ranging from 15-to-infant... we wondered whether they were going on vacation, doing mission work or quite frankly crazy! Haha!

When we got to the airport in Lima and went through immigration/customs, etc... then walked around this barrier to find a wall of people... around 300-500 people shouting at everyone that had arrived. Hundreds of signs with names were bouncing around and surprisingly... we saw JOHN CROSS on one!! Haha... amazing. Once we were in the van and driving on the roads, the driver explained to us there were no traffic lights... and he was right!! Two lane roads... somehow became 3 and 4 lane roads. You should see the vehicle they call "public buses". I promise to capture this sight via a camera after a bit.

So far everything we´ve seen is quite different and wonderful... we have yet to do some good exploring. As I´m sitting here writing this entry... there is a television with CNN on... all in machine gun Spanish!! It´s fantastic. 😉
